For many years, I dedicated myself to a successful career in administration. I thrived in this role, honing my skills in organisation, communication, and problem-solving. I managed complex schedules, coordinated events, and streamlined office operations. While I found satisfaction in making processes more efficient and supporting my team, I had a creative spark I wanted to explore.
As I became more involved with the evolving digital landscape, I became increasingly fascinated with technology and design. I started noticing how many websites were frustrating to use due to a lack of good user-centric design. This curiosity led me to explore the world of UX design, I studied Professional Diploma of UX Design at the UX Design Institute and in UX I found a perfect blend of creativity, problem-solving and making a difference – three elements I was passionate about.
Now bringing together my administration background with UX, means I:
Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Articulate research-backed design decisions with stakeholders
Tackle design challenges with a structured analytical mindset
Bring awareness of the importance of balancing business needs and user goals, with capacity, budget and timelines
As a UX Designer, my passion lies in sustainability, particularly in housing, cars, energy, farming, and packaging. I am deeply committed to creating user experiences that not only meet user needs but also promote environmentally friendly practices, ensuring that every design choice contributes to a better future.
My administrative background has given me a unique perspective, and I believe that every step of my journey has prepared me for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
